The ability to look broadly and see the whole picture, linking long-range visions and concepts to daily work. It includes the ability to see linkages and interdependencies, which may not be obvious, and to identify key or underlying issues in complex situations. It also includes using creative, conceptual or inductive reasoning and, at the highest levels, having a sophisticated awareness of the impact of the world at large on strategies and how that in turn affects business choices.
