Ring Time

Ring time refers to the time from dialing to being answered.

It also refers to the time the ACD allocates the call to the logest waiting agent.  Here some ACDs are configured to allow the call to ring at an agents turret, with the agent accepting the call when able (albeit they have already made themselves available).

Good practice is for auto answer - the call being delivered to the agent with a beep.
