Lead Generation

Many contact centres generate leads for other companies or departments.

Lead generation is about creating a level of interest with a customer, whereby they may be interested in or 'warm' to knowing more about a product or service.

Leads are generated for others as it is not the call centres primary function or skill-set to handle direct.  Specialist functions exist to follow-up or visit the customer.

For instance a general insurance provider dealing with household insuarance maybe targeted with generating leads for motor insurance or pensions.

Agents can be targeted with lead generation and this will be calculated by dividing calls by leads generated.
