Author: CCa2z

Date: 13th October 2009

A cost benefit analysis is made to appraise or assess a proposal to make a decision.

Benefits are expressed in monetary terms and compared with the expected costs of a proposal.

Time is also relevent as benefits may not be realised for a number of years.

Put simply, the cost of introducing a piece of IT may yield savings in average handling times, resulting in the reduction of full time equvalent staff (FTEs).
