Call Centre & Contact Centres

Call Centre - a work environment in which the main business is conducted via the telephone whilst simultaneously using display screen equipment (DSE).  This includes parts of companies dedicated to this activity such as internal helplines as well as whole companies.  Terms have become wider to embrace non-call activities.

Also known as contact centre, customer service centre, customer interaction centre and communications centre.
