Non-demand work is a phrase which refers to workload which doesn't require an immediate response like telephone calls.

Such work could be email, admin or paper processing or even outbound.

Both demand and non-demand work can therefore be scheduled based on call forecasts.  The non-demand work will geneally be scheduled during call troughs or where there is excess resourcing.

Non-demand work can usually be deferred during call peaks - having regard to their own service levels.
