Load balancing refers to the distribition of calls between sites.

An organisation may have a customer service operation split between any number of sites.  If they are qually resourced then calls will be distributed evenly across the sites.

If one site is twice the size of another then the distribution can be on a percentage basis enabling two thirds of the calls to be sent to the larger site.
